Before Your Swim Lesson

Please take the following into consideration prior to coming to swim lessons:

• Please do not give your swimmer food during the two hours immediately before the lesson.

• Your swimmer will need goggles; fins are optional. See my recommended swim accessories here. If your swimmer arrives without goggles, Kelly can provide a pair for $20.

• Please have your swimmer use the restroom before the lesson begins.

• Payment is due by the end of each lesson. Zelle payments to: [email protected]

• Lessons start on the hour and end at a quarter till the next hour. If you are late, the lesson still ends at a quarter till.

• Have the child in their swimsuit, shoes off and ready to go.

• Swimmers under 31 months old—and swimmers who have not been fully potty trained for at least six months—must wear a disposable swim diaper underneath a reusable swim diaper with elastic around the waist and legs. Snap-style swim diapers are not permitted.

• Bring 2 towels and dry clothes to change the swimmer after the lesson.

• The pool is heated to 90 degrees (in cooler winter / spring months).

• Lessons are generally held regardless of rain. Lessons may be delayed, paused, or canceled because of lightning or other unsafe weather conditions. Kelly will make the final safety determination. Unless you are notified otherwise, please plan to attend your scheduled lesson.

• No flotation devices.

• Please do not park in any driveway, you can park in front of the house or in the cul-de-sac.

• Parents wait inside at my kitchen table where you can see and hear everything. Some young swimmers may cry when learning something new. Kelly is very experienced in working through these emotions. Please allow her to guide your child through the lesson without stepping in unless she asks for your assistance.
